TIA is a patented design methodology that reduces unwanted resonance and distortion so that the sound is transparent and lifelike. TIA consists of three major components: open balanced armature TIA drivers, the TIA single-bore design, and the TIA acoustic chamber. U12t includes two major components of the tia system: the tia driver and the tia single-bore design.

The Apex is a patented vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal while maintaining standard levels of isolation, so musicians and music lovers can listen more comfortably for longer periods of time. As a result, the listener is less fatigued and the soundstage becomes more realistic. There are three different module variations of Apex for U12t: mX, m15 and m20.

LID is a patented circuit that corrects the non-linear electrical resistance of the multiple driver-sets of this 12 driver IEM. The varying output impedance of source amplifiers in devices like smartphones, body packs, DAC/amps, and DAPs leads to varying frequency response across them, depending on the increase in resistance. When the source is interacting with the source and the desired sound signature is preserved, a consistently reliable sound is enabled.
